CoMPS is a research platform exploring the spread of Islam and the development of Muslim populations within today’s country boundaries.
What the platform offers
The interactive map and country guides bring together historical narratives, population datasets and timelines spanning from the early centuries of Islam to modelled future projections.

Research and author
CoMPS presents data and historical research from Houssain Kettani, The World Muslim Population: Spatial and Temporal Analyses (Jenny Stanford Publishing, 2020). The publisher describes the book as a study of Muslim populations across present-day countries, from the early history of Islam through future estimates. See the book record.
